This is for a cultural festival a local college is hosting, This drawing showcases different aspects of the Venezuelan Culture - which the country i'm from.
The macaw is a famous bird in my country, and is beloved by the citizens since they tend to don the Flag's colors of Yellow, for the richness of our land, Blue for the beauty of our seas and Red for the blood shed while liberating ourselves from Spain. The girl in the portrait is a traditional dancer from our country, they wear a long traditional dress:[link] I tried showing it in motion behind the macaw.

My second try with Oil Pastels, this time on a canvas panel. I can't recall the dimensions right now, so i'll edit them in at a later time.
